Back to normal!

Yesterday I came back to Bilbao, tired and dehydrated. After spending a long weekend at my parent's celebrating Eurovision and the Ice Hockey world tournament and *over indulging* with food, my body feels like it's time to get back to routine, healthy eating and exercising.

It can be hard to go visit your relatives when you know beforehand that they normally don't eat as clean as you need to achieve your healthy goals, or even worse if you are facing a special celebration weekend, where extra food is expected. However, I think it is fundamental to understand that food is a social celebration. It was like that in the past and it will stay like this for a while, if not forever. Therefore, don't you think it is wise to cherish these moments, instead of punishing you for skipping two or three days of diet? Your body may even NEED them to boost metabolism.

Here is the list of food I had these days:

Thursday :** travel day**
Two mini organic buns with 80 g serrano ham, 1 small tomato and a teaspoon olive oil.
1 medium apple
Canned tuna-avocado ceviche

Tuna, avocado, some veggies and voilá!

Friday:
A slice of home baked kläddkaka
Boiled green beans and yogurt-tandoori marinated chicken breast
Wholegrain vegetables sandwich with tomato, lettuce, cucumber and crumbled feta cheese
snacks: crackers with gorgonzola

Saturday: Hockey + Eurovision
Simple buttered salami sandwich with a slice tomato
tequila beer and popcorn while watching hockey
2 cokes and pizza while Eurovision
snacks: toblerone bites (yes, this is the effect Conchita Wurst winning Eurovision had on me)

Sunday: Hockey again
Portuguese cod dish with potatoes and onions
popcorn, candy and soda while hockey
turkey sandwich with vegetables

Monday: **travel day**
1 medium apple
a glass of almond milk
small plate of pineapple
small plate of lentil salad
2 squares dark chocolate

As you can see, all the fuss I made at the moment and after eating this holidays is reduced significantly if you put it in writing. This means your mind shapes your experience with food, making you feel bad for things you ate that are actually not so important if not consumed every day =)
